@TheBurtThe radeon 7000 will not work with Kororaa XGL Live-CD as its not supported by ATi Binary driver for linux. TO get 3D support from ATi in linux you have to have an 8500 or higher video card.Your video card must be on the XGL compatibility list for the LIVE CD TO WORK!!-djpharoah
Actually I'm not new to this whole computer thing, and this did happen. I was trying to adjust the sound levels in the Xgl Live environment. At that point the system locked. I rebooted the system and then after that the UAA High Definintion Audio Bus wouldn't start in windows. I even tried loading a fresh install of XP and just the High Definition Audio Bus driver (which will work stand alone). But the same thing occurs "This device could not start (code 10)." Since the last thing I was doing was sound related and did it using a flakey ass piece of software that can in fact damage hardware if it's written like s**t.Oh, yea, I think you need to shut your f**king mouth!
i didn't mean to be stupid - just cautious...it works fine as a live CD with no Linux installed. I'm on it right now...although i cannot get any sound (bummer). feel free to use the new digg comment sys. to bury that last comment (i can't bury myself)
No one here seems to have mentioned the fact that Xgl was developed "in secrecy" for a period, and therefore lacked any community interaction and or suggestions. If there had been community interaction, it would have been found that Xgl's approach (completely replacing the tried and true Xorg server with beta software) is frowned upon by many. Instead, a project called aiglx <a class="user" href="http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/RenderingProject/aiglx">http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/RenderingProject/aiglx</a> which aims to instead of replace the X server, add to it (through X extensions) and therefore eliminate many of the problems of completely branching from the Xfree86 code tree. Though this project is in very early stages, it shows promise, and should be able to do every effect you've seen through Xgl + compiz, because compiz is where the action is at, not the (disliked) Xgl.
Aaaa, train commin down the tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (correct response) ah, I need to know that(incorrect response) that sucks! mod down..I'm still studying the Digg 'Intelligence Through Popularity' model, but so far I would say it has it's flaws. It is definitely possible that something about the combination of software and hardware resulted in this guy's hardware failure. He certainly has done us a favor by telling us about it. (I blew a wonderful pair of tweeters through a software/hardware incompatibility once.) Of course, it is entirely possible this guy's loss was entirely coincidental (hey equipment's gotta fail sometime). But if we never hear the report to confirm it, we'll never know.
Hi, I downloaded, supposedly, the kororaa livecd 0.2, but it's kinda... not working. It boots some blue console and it's more like an installer, not a live cd... did i get the wrong iso? Oh, and once I type kororaa, it says something about there's no display device. I really don't remember cuz I tried it yesterday before a class, but I was expecting something like I dunno, knoppix, just... well a normal livecd, to boot and use. My video card is an ATI X1400, it's not listed on the "won't work" list but... so any ideas? Thanx
I've got a Radeon 9600 Mobility and the Live CD just doesn't work. When the X server starts i just get a blank screen and the whole system just stops. Supposedly my card is supported based on the list above but it doesn't seem to be. Any ideas?

easiest way is through cedega.... but you have to pay for that. (<a class="user" href="http://www.transgaming.com)">http://www.transgaming.com)</a>I'm currently attempting to get it working through wine.
