engadget.com — That two year old rumor that the Xbox 360 was to get a qwerty keyboard attachment has been resurrected, with the appearance of another Gamespot article (leak?) referring to a 47 key keyboard which snaps onto the Xbox 360 controller and communicates through the headset jack.

I like playing FFXI with the keyboard on my 360 instead of the controller.

An "Optional" keyboard for your 360 to be used with enhancements to the existing service. Sorry can't see the down-side here at all.

The pedals don't slip out on the GT-Force. It has carpet grippers. I find the hole in the MS wheel pedals useless for keeping the pedals stationary because I drive barefoot and because it requires I put the balls of my feet a lot farther down than I can comfortably to get them to hold the pedals in place. I don't find the hole in the pedals a hinderance, but I don't find it helpful either. It's far too late to get my wheel replaced. See, I bought it back in November, when MS released it and Forza 2 was just about to come out. Either way, it's not like I've gotten a lot of time in on this thing to wear it out, it was this way from the factory. If MS didn't test it well enough to notice it had 3mm of play on it before shipping it, it's shame on them either way.In my opinion, you have to design a wheel in special ways to keep lash and play down to a minimum, and the MS wheel isn't designed correctly. To be honest, it goes with the compromises they made in other areas on the wheel. There's no way to have a FF wheel on your lap, so why did MS do it? Even a non-FF wheel isn't going to work well in sim games on your lap for that matter. And then why did they make a lap wheel with pedals that are angled better for use with a lay-down racing seat than with a chair that most people (esp. those who use it in their laps) will have?I can't see how you can like the the MS wheel better than the GT-Force. Besides the bearing play, there's the lack of a bump shifter on the MS wheel for when the wheel is wound up. The pedals on the MS wheel have great stops, but are at the wrong angle for use with a regular seat. Also, I find the MS wheel is very heavy when turning outward, something Logitech hasn't completely beat either, although Gran Turismo specifically has an option that uses the motor to assist you on these rapid out-turning moves. Perhaps Forza 2 will have a similar option, PGR3 does not.I wish I had access to another MS wheel so I could see if indeed mine is the exception, not the rule. But no one has one set up for use. And even without the shaft play, the MS wheel is not f**king awesome. It's not even up to snuff with the 2 year old GT-Force.And if you had a G25, like I do, you'd have a lot better idea what f**king awesome was and realize the MS wheel doesn't even have the chops to get a good view of what f**king awesome is. The G25 may be overpriced, but it definitely sets the bar in a way that excludes the MS wheel from any reasonable idea of f**king awesome.

Why is there an extra A, B, X, and Y on the keyboard? I mean, don't they already have that covered on the controller???

Yep, great move Microsoft. Make the largest game controller on the market even larger and more awkward to hold. Rock on.
