Just tried it out. Some nice new features, especially the fast loading arcade list. One thing I noticed however is the poor job it does at lower resolution video. Playing the same video file from my pc over vga and xbox over component shows a drastic quality difference. Haven't tried it with higher resolution files yet.
Well..... it's nice to see that everyone is at least getting to see the update.Maybe I'm some sort of spazz, but I can't even get the friggin' thing onto the console.I have a major problem trying to connect to Xboxlive, so I've given up trying to update that way!I have downloaded the $SystemUpdate_12-2007 file and burned it to CD, but that won't give me the "update now" option as promised!I burned to RW CD, so no problem to erase and try all methods (full folder, unzipped, raw file etc), but NO way will it get onto the console.I have no internet at home (this IS Cambodia for christs' sake!), so had to take the console to work to connect there.NO way again - I get a connection, IP address confirmed, but DNT error.ALL I want is to update. This is a game, not a friggin' technicians tool.WHY can't Microdaft come up with a simple way to do things, designed for non-professional users?I want to be able to play my (MPEG, AVI, DivX etc) files, and don't want to be hassled into connecting to Xboxlive when I try!Has ANYONE out there in Diggland managed to burn to CD/DVD and get the update onto the game?I am wellllllllllllll pissed off with the whole episode, and beginning to wish I'd saved my money.'Kin good games, but a s**t OS.Rant over - I need a drink. But seriously, any (constructive) advice will be greatly appreciated.Catch yer later.:-((

Anybody know when to look for this update? It's Halloween on the east coast already. Oh well, guess I have less than 24 hours to wait.

WMV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, only. (For now, if they ever include DivX support)
