mtvU was on campus yesterday with some big inflatable buildings filled with Xbox games and the Burger King games were included. I didn't play any of them, but I think they were giving away copies as prizes in certain tournaments... they looked pretty lame, but the collector in me has me excited
These games are pure marketing genius by CP+B. Funny tounge-in-cheek games that will get BK's brand in front of the consumers they most want to reach...Small pieces of branded content just like this are a big part of the future of marketing my friends. The voice over description of Pocketbike Racer is dead F'n classic!
wild apparently missed the news about having to pay for every single part of Gran Turismo. Sony have been championing microtransactions for a long time. 'Consumables' on Xbox Live are barely in the "Hey, this might be an idea!" stage, although they are equally abhorrent.
Something tells me in 20-30 years these disc in perfect condition will be some kind of weird video game collectors item, that same crazy burger king/game nerd with every single game in the world will desperately want, and will pay big bucks for!I think I'll buy these games, and keep them unopened just to see.Maybe I'm wrong, but I've seen collectors go crazy for any obscure and extremely rare item.
@ HaltingPoint:I can assure you, I am not an employee of Burger King. I actually think they're the worst of the big 3 fast food burger joints. Sometimes though, their burgers hit the spot. And then I usually regret it about an hour later.I do think that the King commercials are friggin great though. Whoever came up with the campaign is a genius.

I'm tempted to buy the Sneak King game based on the title alone. Burger King's marketing team is one of the best in a while.
