xbox-scene.com — In light of the recent Xbox 360 hypervisor hack and possibility of widespread homebrew in the future, a trusted developer decided to show what he has been working on for some time. He released details and pictures about a port of MAME to Xbox360 and also mentions he has been working on a ScummVM port.

@ thethirdwheel,People modding in Halo 2 requires absolutely NO MODDING to the actually console. You can just as easily hook up your xbox 360 hd to your computer and transfer over the patched maps. You don't need the ability to run unsigned code you asshat so next now what you're talking about before you comment and look like an ignorant fool.

XBMC for 360 would be a worthy goal....But running adventure games on the X360? Ok, I guess it's good that they are working on that, but why would anyone seriously need it when 5-year-old PCs can easily run ScummVM and with better controls(and even possibly Wiimote support with drivers) to boot? A waste of time, says I.

I live in Japan, the original shipment of 360's are still on sale here in some places due to poor sales, I'm sure they contain the original firmware that the 360 shipped with.
