I'd like to know when satellite radio became a completely separate market from terrestrial radio. Last I checked there is a fair amount of competition between the two... with terrestrial ratio consistently in the lead. Their merger was never in any danger of qualifying as a monopoly.*shrugs* maybe I'm a lot more ignorant about economics than i thought, but I continue to stick with terrestrial radio because of the costs involved in satellite radio. Seems to me this merger isn't going to change that.
This isn't the issue. Thes e people accuse me of using such sources as urbandictionary, and wikitionary, which are stupid sounding sources I've never heard of. I don't think people would be too happy if I cut and paste a whole chapter of a lawbook on antitrust laws, now do you?
Drrr,... but dere are special buttons for the satellite radio,... are you following? And if you want to get SPECIAL radio, with no commercials, you use the SPECIAL buttons! Thats right, say it with me "Special Buttons."Very good, now up until now, you had a choice which company you could have supply the commercial free music to your special device with the special buttons, but now, you don't HAVE that choice anymore. This is because of naughty naughty men up in the corporate world, who don't brush their teeth before they go to bed, and who NEVER eat all their vegetables.Don't ever let YOURself become a bad person like these greedy old men, they're YUCKY!There, I hope everyone could understand that.
Name a free device with a one time only cost to any of those? Illegally torrenting TV shows might count but its illegal. Joost or Mivo but there not total replacements.
"Any radios or other equipment that subscribers currently use will be fully supported by SIRIUS and XM for many years to come. Furthermore, following the merger, existing radios will all be able to receive a mix of programming from both services." You know they could meet the requirements of this statement by allowing the XM receiver to continue to receive the XM channels, and the SIRIUS receivers to receive the SIRIUS channels. Then you put one XM program on a SIRIUS channel and one SIRIUS program on an XM channel. Not to mention, the two companies broadcast A LOT of the same channels, NPR, CNN, etc. I have heard hosts of shows on both sides say you will need to buy a new receiver to get both.

Right, then if there were only 1 auto manufacturer, don't drive - There's plenty of other ways to get your ass around town.
