xboxic.com — Word is out on the street that a flaw in the Xbox 360 DVD firmware may allow a hacker to install his own custom firmware in there unchecked, allowing the drive to boot backups of original game DVD’s by flashing a self-built firmware in there which ignores the mandatory disc signing.

He will be fired though...I love crybaby thieves."Wah-wah, it costs too much, so I get to steal it"Do you think there's just some guy rolling in literally millions of dollars at EA, or that it might go to cover stuff like, oh, I don't know, this guys salary?

The 360 has NOT been hacked yet. They're close, which has been known for a while, but no-one has publicly said they've hacked it and be found true. So this digg is lame.Even when they do hack it using this method, you WILL NOT be able to run unsigned code, only PIRATE GAMES. Which means it WON'T be easy to get hold of, if it is released at all.It WILL NOT be easy to do for the average chipper, so don't get your hopes up. Not to mention You'll have to do it very month if you want to continue using Live as MS will no doubt fix them, just like the kiosk disc.

bump. i'm not a gamer. i only want an xbox360 if i can run xbmc on it. the original xbox would be perfect for me except that it can't handle x264 video, and HD MPEG-2 gets choppy during fast-motion scenes. i've looked at getting other network media player options, but xbmc is what i want and nothing comes close. my next option is to setup a media pc and use xbmc linux or xbmc win32. but then how do i control it? i don't think xbmc win32 supports the xbox360 pc controller yet. (or it does with a lot of manual configuration?)
