"your spelling isin't bad, but your grammer needs work :P""Uh...Your [capitalize the word at the beginning of a sentence] spelling isn't [not isin't] bad, but your grammar [not grammer] needs work. [period at the end of sentence]"
Not for programmers? Please. Most programmers are the best writers for busy people. Why? 1. Because they would rather be coding then writing some wordy document. 2. They are fully aware of the importance in textual layout if they have even spent 10 minutes debugging someone elses bad code.3. They are busy people too and would rather get to the "meat" of something rather than pondering how much time someone wasted writing them a twenty page email they just received in their inbox marked "Urgent".

It's a Britishism. Substitute 'college' for 'university' and you've got an Americanism.

Trying to supress a snarky response here... There is no missing 'a'. Read this:"Back when I was in University"Now read this:"Back when I was in college"They mean the same thing; there is no missing a. They're called dialects.<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_English">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_English</a>
