South park is blunt, stupid humour for people unable to understand it at a higher level. Look at the celebrity appearances, for example. Rather than craft a character who's similar (ie. Reinier Wolfcastle on the Simpsons), they just put the character in, and have one of the same guys do the voice-over for it.It's funny for a few episodes, but c'mon, 10 seasons?Oh well, I'll be modded down for my rant by the same people who will be rolling on the ground watching this show "OH MY GOD! WORLD OF WARCRAFT IS ADDICTIVE! HILARIOUS! HOW DO THEY COME UP WITH THIS MATERIAL? IT'S COMEDY GOLD!"

Actually, they may be manually animating the characters; look at the scene where they say "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!" "-Those bastards!". I don't believe I've seen those animations in the game before.

everyone that plays the game is addicted . . . i was almost a victim of this game, Ive talked to lot of people who have serious problems with playing the game too much and they don't think its a problem or they don't play it "that much" its bad, and when there not playing it they still sit inside and do other things, when before they started playing "the game" they would go out with friends and do other things.this country is the fattest( and IMO the lazy-est) nation in the world, it is a fact we ( the united states) is the more over weight nation in the world. it has alot to do with things like this . . . . you may not agree with me, but you know this isn't just any game, and understand its changing people, across the nation . . IMO for the worse.

to Tensenki i don't understand what you are talking about, it has nothing to do with getting laid or anything else, and I'm not bullying anyone. . . I'm speaking fact, people are getting sucked into this game, playing for tons of hours a day. leaving it on no - stop not going outside, when they did before the game, not having a life out side of "the game" im not talking to all you i played a few days and stopped people, I'm talking about the people who have lost touch with the real world because of this game. . . I'm not sure what is wrong with you Tensenki, but if you cant understand what i am getting at, maybe you need to either re-read what i said, or not even bother because this isn't even directed toward you.

@ jbouchardYou're telling people over the Internet to go outside when you're willing to "paypal, if a way works" to see private pictures of some broad on MySpace?(<a class="user" href="http://digg.com/security/Simple_hack_lets_you_view_all_comments_on_a_PRIVATE_Myspace_profile)">http://digg.com/security/Simple_hack_lets_you_view_all_comments_on_a_PRIVATE_Myspace_profile)</a>f**king hypocrite.

You know it is always interesting to hear from people who are so defensive of WoW. What is their motivation for being so? Is it really just because they think they game is simple fun and are upset with the rest of us who think otherwise? That would be a pretty weak reason to be so defensive for WoW. The real reason should be obvious, that they are trying to convince others (themselves) that their time spent (most likely increasing) playing WoW has not been a complete waste. Ive been around people who have played the game obsessivly, and why I've never played it (half because it looks boring and half because I wouldnt want to be addicted like that to anything, let alone a video game), I've seen what it can do. I'm 23 years old and 2 of my friends have unfortuntely become hardcore addicted to this game. I can see why, its brilliant marketing. The learning curve is what makes it addicted. You play for say 20 hours and you've level'ed up to 3 or 4. The more you play the more you level up, yet each level takes more and more time to reach, but it is really more than just this. This is a VIRTUAL world in which people have control over their 'lives' and 'characters' and an ALARMING AMOUNT of people (mainly children) now put this virtual life way ahead of their real one. Of course people are going to say to this post " that is bulls**t, I've never lost X, X, or X because of it, there is nothing wrong with the Game , blah blah", but that is horses**t. That is like saying that there is nothing wrong with heroin, and that some people try heroin a few times and are fine and dont let it ruin their lives. This is a strawman arguement, because no s**t there are people like that, but does that mean then that heroin is not alarmingly potentially addictive? The fact is , there are untold thousands of kids and college aged people playing this game more than they work or sleep, barely getting into the real world unless they absolutely have to, and are wasting their lives away. I thankfully got to see one of my friends SNAP OUT of it after a year + of playin and he confessed that it is a complete waste of time, and actually moved and cancelled his WoW and got a job and is making money and goin out and living life outside of the computer again.I truely think that any WoW player who plays 5+ hours each day KNOWS how much of a waste of time that it is. I bet when they finally do pry themselves off the computer after a full day of playing WoW to go to sleep that they are often times depressed. I promise that in 5 years, addictions of this sort will creep more into the mainstream, since as of now these people are mostly unknown of (how could they be...they don't leave the house or talk to anyone outside the game hardly).I can't wait to here the defensive responses to this one.

I love playing WoW. My friends and I sit around a table and play a few nights a week and it's a blast. I'm in great shape, it's a fun social outlet, and my working life has never been better. s**t, I play at lunch sometimes at work and update my boss on how high my fishing is.If you are not leaving the house, about to lose your job, and no longer are getting laid; that's probably a different problem. Playing to much WoW may be another symptom of that problem, but not the cause.

Holy cripes guys. Calm down. On both sides. I usually don't waste my time with these types of arguments (as if people were seriously going to change their strong opinions over what I say), but seriously, is it really worth getting worked up over? As a member of the game design community, I can safely attest to the fact that a lot of people make their livings off of making games. Take down Blizzard? because they're too successful? Because they made a game that people actually like and actually willingly pay to play, because they feel it's worth their money? I will admit that some WoW gamers take it too far. Even Blizzard has tried to tell some of their players to lay off a little bit. But they don't represent the entire community. I myself, do play World of Warcraft, and i think it's a fantastic game. Both from a gaming standpoint, as well as a designer standpoint. Not only is the design very solid and extremely well done, but it's also a lot of fun to play. Do I play every day? No. Do I work for a living? Yes I do. Do I do well for myself, yes I do. I haven't let myself get taken over by World of WarCraft. Just because some people have no self control, doesn't exactly mean that it's worth attacking Blizzard over. People who attack the game act like they don't have indulgences of their own. They justify it somehow. I remember back when i was in high school and I was at a buddy's house and his dad said that he didn't understand why we could waste so much time playing video games. This was while he was sitting on his ass watching TV, like he did every day. Hell, even video games have more physical involvement then sitting on a couch with a beer watching TV. Somehow, he had it justified in his own head, that what he was doing was more worthwhileMy fiance and i play WoW on our free time when we don't want to go out. Seriously, if you want to know the truth, WoW has actually saved us money. We don't have to go out nearly as much to have a good time. We aren't worried about it and we do have social lives. To the people who get so violently defensive over WoW....just take it easy. You know there are people who look down upon it. just get used to it and stop getting too worked up. Keep playing (hopefully, take a break to go out a little every now and again) and don't worry about it. Do you feel threatened? Don't worry. Protesters are not going to have the game shut down. There's no reason to get too worked up for it. And no reason to attack Blizzard, unless it's out of pure jealousy. Hell, I'm even jealous of Blizzard. I'm in the game design industry (no I won't give details about it here), but sounds to me they are living the American dream. They made something that they wanted to make, had fun making it, are proud of it and made a lot of money off of a lot of satisfied and happy customers. I praise them for it.

Hilarious. By the way, I hope the nerds that actually play the game realize that episode was making fun of them specifically.

My friend bought WoW and I signed up for the 10 day trial. It was actually quite a lot of fun to play and there was an incredible amount of area to explore and a lot of things do. However, I quit after 3 days because I was not willing to put in the time. That and the quests are kind of boring, like "Kill 20 Grizzly Bears" and they're hard as hell to find because other people are doing the same quest and killing all of them. Eh, I don't even know why I wrote this post. I guess I just wanted to point out the above poster was exaggerating when he said it takes 20 hours to get to level 3 or 4... it takes probably two hours max to get to level 4. At the end of the three days, I was a level 13 Rogue and I played probably around... 12-15 hours.*You can skip this section if you're too lazy to read, it's just me writing about my very limited experience wtih MMOs*I've only played three MMOs in my life. I played Ragnarok Online for half an hour and quit because it took me twenty minutes to find my way out of the laggy ass town and five whole minutes to kill a bunny. I played Lineage II for about two days on a 15x experience server and quit because even with 15x experience, the monsters still pwned me. And my three day experience with WoW.I guess Blizzard never makes a dud game. I mean, the Koreans are still playing Starcraft...***End skipping***All you people who are bashing the game should at least try it before slinging insults at it. That's one thing wrong with America, we tend to judge things based on stereotypes or simply what we hear from other people. Like an outsider could say South Park is nothing but vulgarity and potty humor. However, if they actually watched the show, they'd realize its highly satirical nature and that there's meaning underneath the jokes. My friend who bought the game was a WoW basher too. He told me how much WoW sucked because it's too easy to level up and how crappy the gameplay mechanics were and how lame it was. However, he bought it out of curiousity and he's been playing it for over six months. It's better to try something out and then criticize it. Like I used to bash Halo/Halo2 for being s**t compared to Half-Life 2. Then I went out and played Halo and now I have solid facts to back up why it's s**tty so I don't sound like a douche ignorant bigot when I go tell people how much it sucks.
