Pretty awesome TED presentation.It's amazing that a toxic compound, which created in our brains, that was used in WW1 as a gas agent, could possibly be used to help people improve the survival rate of people with lethal injuries.Wish this type of technology was made more readily available.I know that its probably not entirely tested but having that one final option. Just like the parents in Bristol had with Xenon gas, could potentially save lives.

As the father of a baby who didn't breath for about 30 seconds after birth (not long enough to cause any damage :) I have a first hand understanding of the terror felt by parents when they fear for their child's life.I hope that this treatment can save many babies' lives.

They mention in the article Xenon gas is very expensive and that this uses less than 200ml of gas an hour.
