Now this is a thing I would like to see more often. It would save me from checking if something works and I would probably buy more hardware if I knew that. Often I see something nice and the lack of compatibility info stops me from buying it.
It also refers to Ubuntu as "No operating system" further down that page. How can it boldly display the Ubuntu logo right above the text "No operating system"?
I dislike Macs. I've never used one for an extended period of time but I don't like it. It's not so easy to use it's stupid, a la Windows, and it's not tech-porn enough to be Linux. I currently use Vista (which isn't as bad as I thought it would be) and I have ubuntu on my PS3. I know my PS3 isn't good enough to be considered a proper computer but it gives a good idea of how cool Linux is.. although I love being able to boot-game-os and play some proper games too =o
OK .. hope you get this .. I installed Fed8 with KDE .. I used the initial approach of editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf adding the line [mode 1280x800x32] this resulted in a non-starting x-server .. so don't try it, 'mode' seems to be an unsupported parameter with 'sis' driver. Solved: went into the display config 'system-config-display' and changed the screen to 'generic LCD 1280x800' rebooted into a 1280x768 desktop ... dont' ask me why but it works! sure there is no real 3d support yet, but screen size/res can be made to work!

I think more free OS will be commercial after this. But its good competition and who will be benefit it? Of course us. But disadvantage is there is no free as any more.cheers,<a class="user" href="http://cpap-mask.blogspot.com/">http://cpap-mask.blogspot.com/</a><a class="user" href="http://asiacar.blogspot.com/">http://asiacar.blogspot.com/</a><a class="user" href="http://zamrin.net/open-sources/linux-what-can-you-expect">http://zamrin.net/open-sources/linux-what-can-you- ...</a><a class="user" href="http://marketing-sources.info/">http://marketing-sources.info/</a>
