edition.cnn.com— ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- A woman who was ticketed for having an obscene anti-Bush bumper sticker filed a lawsuit in federal court Monday against a county in the state of Georgia and its officials.

Thankfully, NH does not allow "emotional distress" in cases like these. She was emotionally distressed by a ticket? Fine, then I'm emotionally distressed by having to go to court, I'm even more distressed for having been patted down when I did nothing wrong...even thought the officer felt threatened by the large group I was with. All this distress, I should have a vacation home in Aruba in no time.
The Radical Associated Press? Are you joking? They're a cooperative of over 10,000 different newspapers. That's like saying the Internet has a political bias. Besides, they are universally noted for their "just the facts" inverted pyramid style of writing, so that they can fit in any sort of publication. Yeah, we all know that REALITY has a documented liberal slant....
The thing that distresses me most about this is that the officer didn't have any real work to do. WTF! He's getting paid. Can't he find some actual crime to deal with? I'm not a fan of that bumper sticker either, but that doesn't mean anything. That officer should have been fired regardless of politics. He needs to do his job.
I don't care what the local law is, the sticker is protected by free speech (as is noted in the article that the law was found unconstitutional in 1990).
The ACLU has defended the Klan. What makes you think they would not defend any distasteful expression that might be used as an excuse to abridge our freedom?
Does anyone know where I could find rules on what you are allowed to put on your car as far as decals in what states???? I live in California and have(without a doubt) the most noticable, flashy looking car in my city. I would like to use it as a weapon to hurt the business of an Auto Body Shop that has screwed me over.....in other words....I would like to put a huge decal on the back of my noticable flashy car that says something like "SO and SO's body shop will rip you off".....but I don't know if some cops (who love harrassing me because of my noticable flashy car) will make me take it off my car....anyone know any websites that state specific laws as far as this...Im havin the hardest time finding any, and I don't know if this would be considered illegal under the phrase "slander" or if it is no different the somebody reviewing a product they disliked or filing a public complaint against a company. As far as the story above......yakski is right about this country becoming more like China everyday. Pretty soon bush will be running over people in tanks in front of the white house for speaking up about him just like Tiananmen in 1989.

I have found a bunch of these funny anti obama bumper stickers at http://www.obama-bumperstickers.com. They are fun to look at and I think they are fairly cheap too.
