sports.espn.go.com — Elsie McLean, 102, became the oldest golfer ever to make a hole-in-one on a regulation course. She used a driver on a par 3 hole to break the age record of 101 set by Harold Stilson in 2001 at Deerfield Country Club in Florida.

That's incredible, and also quite a coincidence. Last week, on that same course, a one-year-old scored a hole-in-one-hundred-and-two. It took him fifty hours and he kept crying and falling over, but it was the best birthday EVER

I think the coincidence that she happend to be just 1 year older then the current record holder is even more impressive.

I'm pretty sure they would not except the record. You have to be playing a regular round and have witnesses.

That's the only hole in one she'll see at her age...

Hey, I guess they're right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose.

A hole in one is 10% skill and 90% luck, where luck is a coincidental moment in time in which all variables become aligned.

Video or it did not happen.

It had to be in a round of 18 holes of golf to be a record. You could sit out on a short par 3 and hit ball after ball, and get an ace, but that wouldn't beat the record she now holds. It has to be in a round of golf.
