This latest release, dubbed "Gutsy Gibbon," proves that Ubuntu Linux can compete with and, in some cases, trump Windows as an everyday desktop system when it comes to pure usability.

Most PC that come with Windows preinstalled have a version of PowerDVD thrown in to give the impression that it's all fully featured. I know the last few PC's I've bought did, and the first DVD burner I bought years ago came with a free copy also.

Ubuntu is getting there. The article mentioned Gnomes "Fast User Switch". This little application has a bug and is a real annoyance in our labs right now. Hopefully they release a patch soon.
