Eh? Wine is actually faster than Windows XP on many benchmarks. That's why we aren't using windows. The overhead and bugs just aren't worth it.

Not so much these days - you'll most often get the best results using comes with wine - then adding other special dlls if you need something not implemented in wine.Where non-selective "dropping in" of a bunch of dlls used to really help ages ago, now it more often than not borks things up.
