download.windowsvista.com— Microsoft posted Windows Vista RC2 and it is available for everyone to download...NOT just Connect testers. It looks like only 32-bit for the time being.

Please note - RC1 currently supports Windows Update, so you can get updates as time goes by, and also if you want to you can upgrade to the 'real' Vista in the futureneither of these options are guaranted in RC2 so unless there is an urgent reason you want RC2 then I would stick with RC1 - any updates will come down as Windows Update anyway
ditto #1. Tried to install from XP Pro SP2 to a cleanly formatted D: partition (25Gb) and it would blue screen after the first reboot. Never installed Vista on this machine before. The same drive has a 65Gb Ubuntu install as well, so maybe they don't play nice. ;)
I have nothing but good experiences also. I'm currently using RC1 build 5728 and everything i need to use is working like a charm. The only problems I've had to date have been when clicking packetnews.com links because mIRC doesn't open right to the server and all of that... And secondly, I can't install my copy of Photoshop CS2 as apparently my OS isn't supported (I'm using the x64 version) which kinda sucks.I'm dual booting between vista and xp pro sp2, but i seem to be spending most of my time on Vista. Just wish i hadn't missed out on the RC2 downloads, as i don't want to use a torrent as i don't have the data limit available to spare. But yeah, enough of the blah blah :P
Firstly. The Check spelling function is annoying (Read Up (and yes i am only saying this coz i cant be assed))Secondly. Vista is "Allright".... But not worth the upgrade... id wait for service pack 900 before upgrading... all that being said.. i work for a software company and have been testing Vista for some time now.... It was pointless in the early stages. but as it progressed it got better. (which doesnt mean good... lol (At All)). RC2.. Well... Hmmm.. Theres not a lot that can be said for RC2.. Now the Retail is out.... lol... I Have installed Retail. And i Have played around with it (A LOT) and i think its actully quite unbelivable (Contridictive i know... but read on).... Allthough... there is still a lot of floors within it... Such as the UAC (User Account Control) being SOOOO Annoying.. I can personally think of many number of ways to improve that... the whole not using Kernal thing.... i repeat... NOT USING KERNAL... lol.. granted only for extra installations such as software and drivers and etc... so it dose USE it.. just not to its advantage... and yeh i know its to prevent virus's and all the other s**te u get off the net... but hey.. as humans were use to that now... lmao... :) anyway.. i think Vista is ALLRIGHT... not worth upgrading to yet though..... :) Now ill shut up....
