Same here! I even went so far as to get the DVD Kit (becasue I can't download it) Then again, Microsoft has never been spectacular with emailing me, at least.
I spent about 3 years maintaining macs and pc's at a university. Most of that time was spent rebuilding macs. The only time I had to touch the pc's is when hardware goes bad.
I received no email from Microsoft either, despite being a registered Beta 2 tester. Then again, my Beta 2 download from Microsoft was corrupted. Snagged it with bittorrent and that one worked without a hitch. I love irony. You should've seen the feedback I sent them after that.
Just activated vista this morning. I selected "activate by phone" option and called Microsoft in Finland. The automated phone activation failed, but when the call was redirected to a support person, the activation went smoothly. The MS tech support girl asked product ID -- I told I don't have one because I downloaded the software from the net -- after that, she gave me the activation key :)
Actually people can register now for the RC1 CPP program.Just login with your Live Account, fill out the form, and bang.. you getthe key and download detailthe link is in digg search vista

http://www.digitalsir.ru/Some words about Windows Vista. But I think after Windows XP much users uninstall this OS and install programs from unix family, as Linux...But it's my opinion.
