I haven't upgraded to Vista. The main question is this: What can Vista do for me that I really care about, that I can't get from XP?If anyone can come up with a good answer, drop me a line. I'm still trying to find one, and it's been a couple weeks.

Not at the moment, but I am guessing it will soon.The CPU vendor information can be read by the OS and compared against the driver so I'm pretty sure this can be easily fixed (By MS I mean).

hey wait a minute. ... i heard microsoft already found out about the OEM emulation crack, and is about to release a patch to "deactivate OEM" or so I heard sometime probably thursday?well, on my computer vista's said it's activated by me using this one click activation installation patch, but what if I get latest patches from windows update and all of a sudden, it doesn't work??! I am definitely gonna use Vista this way until something sparks my mind to go buy a non-OEM code...I have compaq presario computer, what if I install HP OEM emulation ? Will Microsoft ever figure out?
