illusionfxp.com — I’ve come across Windows Starter 2007, and suprisingly, my computer is too good for Windows. However, there are Software Restrictions and Hardware Restrictions that I should have paid attention to before I wasted my time making an ISO of this, which I now reccomend UltraISO.

[ I think its only sold in developing countries where computers are a brand new concept ][ Countries such as India, Egypt, Turkey, Latin-America, Mexico, and Brazil have launched the XP version of Windows Starter. However, it is a subset of Vista Home Basic. ]1) Latin-america is not a country2) Noneone uses or will use this lame starters aproach of OS's here3) People in developing countries needs more than 3 applications and half network connectivity4) The requirements of this crap are the same or more than Win XP so hardware is not an excuse5) Stop with your "DEVELOPING COUNTRIES" crap, we are not sub-humans here, we have the same needs as you

Hardware Requirements: * CPU - Intel Celeron; Pentium (except IV and Higher); AMD (except Athlon, Opteron) * Memory - 256 (Minimum) 512 (Recommended/Maximum) * 10 GB of available hard disk space * DVD drive * Super VGA resolution video adapter and monitor. * Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.Oh weeding out the higher end CPUs, but wait... it recommends 512 MB of RAM... what the ..!?A DVD Drive!?... how about a standard CD-ROM. This is going to be an "Introductory" computer withan introductory "OS". With the Starer Edition only running three apps at a time, I'm sure nobody will be watching movies while typing a letter and chatting (due to low proc requirements).Just throw a "all for one version" of Windows out to the public and forget about these starter this, mid range,or professional version. Microsoft will still get their $200 per copy due to Microsoft does not discountanything.Sheesh....

I have a feeling Windows Starter is going to get the same kind of the consumer buy-in as the Euro version of Windows. In fact, is it really necessary to limit usage for developing countries?
