i.gizmodo.com — A hot copy of Windows 7 RC1 is on our desktop and we're diligently poking around. But here are the three best new new things in Windows 7 Build 7100. Perhaps the best? Stream your music library over the Internet with Windows Media Player.

Agreed. And with my existing setup, that whole "Windows Media Player library" comes off of my Linux server ^_^

Agreed. After windows XP I switched to linux. I pondered the idea of using OSX (but not switching, just adding the OS to my computers :P). Apple stuff is too much money though. Windows 7 will see itself on one of my machines as soon as its done downloading :)

XP mode is not going to work for games very well. Not only is the emulation going to slow things down, there's no direct access to 3D acceleration hardware.

Once you own both, you can't do without either.

Bulls**t. ASP.NET / C# and Visual Studio are top notch software development tools.Sql Server is one of the very best database platforms for any price.MS is solid on the server side of computing. Where exactly is Apple on the server side? No where. We run out of a 20,000 sq/ft commercial data center there isn't ONE Apple server in the whole place. Tons of HP and Dell machines running Windows Server tho.
