last100.com— Winamp 5.5 (Beta) sports two new and potentially controversial features: support for mp3 blogs and the ability to stream your music collection over the Internet.

True. Even with all of the features they've added over the years it's still what it began as...a lightweight player that plays about every type of audio file there is...
If every version after WinAmp 5 didn't crash every two f**kin' seconds I might care. I must have done that "full uninstall and reinstall" thing about a million times. VLC owns the hell out of WinAmp.
I'm an assh**e because I'm lazy? Haha oh wow...Please show me where I attacked Winamp. Please. I'd like to see it, because I can't for the life of me remember typing such a thing. I said it didn't play my iTunes music (yeah, DRM sucks, but it's a necessary evil, as long as it doesn't get out of control). That's it. I actually liked Winamp back when it could play all of my music.Songbird DOES play my iTunes music, and I can most definitely see it adopting this streaming feature in the future through a plug-in of some sort.Goddamn. Read moar before throwing around insults like an injured baboon.
no, the point is you don't have to. Enter the URL of your favourite audio blog, and winamp will automatically download anything on the page labelled .mp3. (Making an audio blog a podcast, essentially).

It's not light-weight, it comes with almost no codecs....do you want more, or can you see where this is going?
