ps3mods.blogspot.com— Someone got Windows XP running on PS3 by emulating it on Linux! It runs a little slow though because of the 256MB of RAM but i'm sure it'll get tweaked to run smooth as butter

I have a question. With the PS3 being powerful and easily hackable, wouldnt that discourage a lot of 3rd party software producers from making games for a console like that? If they can already manipulate the OS so easily and emulate other platforms, why wouldnt it just be easier to bypass any sort of security that would help prevent piracy? I know this submission isnt exactly about that but I wanted to know how you all feel about that issue
I'm not a geek because I think its lame that XP can run in an emulator? When they get it booting from a bootloader, then I'll take notice, otherwise this is pathetic lame, and a blog. Not content for Diggnation.
There is no question that fedora 5 is a better operating system than xp, so off-course there is no reason why you should run xp on the ps3. But is it not extremely cool to see how well Linux is running on the ps3, only weeks after it was released? I'm very sure that when this console get released in Europe, we will have a very good Linux-desktop for 600 euro.Boy, do you remember the time, you had an actual contest for running linux on an x-box? XP emulated on linux may not be a big deal, but this kind off support for linux on a console, still is a big deal.

Anyone think about the fact that this could be faked? How hard is it to cut from Linux to a shot of the PS3 open screen? No very.
