nytimes.com— Disney is revamping one of its California theme parks by melding classic carnival games with virtual reality in an effort to keep up with the times. Will it pay off?

You like California Adventure? Really? The most annoying part was how damn long it takes to walk to the Tower of Terror to ANY other ride. They stuck it in the back corner by nothing else. There is very little cover from the sun, and the concrete roads radiate so much heat that it is almost unbearable.
nobody cares about disney characters anymore. Disney lost its way. That's why they were forced to buy Steve Job's Pixar. Just Pixar can save Disney. Disney parks should show Pixar characters.
I would agree that prior to '04, poor management really started letting Disneyland fall apart. DL never does well with small budgets and cut corners (nobody really wants an overcrowded $22 Disneyland). Once the crappy management got the boot, and the new management started prepping for the 50th anniversary stuff for '05, things REALLY started turning around, both in front and behind the scenes. Things are really good now, and I'd encourage you to give Disneyland another look! Their free FastPass system also helped alleviate the long lines thing.

The article was wrong. They're not making a HP theme park -- it's a new land at Islands of Adventure.
