yeah i'm a bit confused here. their only costs are infrastructure (afaik) - servers, bandwidth, maybe a few sysadmins now. what happened to the millions just raised?google would be a great company to buy. they have the infrastructure in place. if they still felt they needed some extra revenue just throw on some adsense s**t on there. just clearly mark it as advertisement space. (i'd do that if i was wikimedia before giving up anyway...)seems like a lot of wasted money to me.

if the girlscouts can sell damn cookies i think that wiki should be able to sell ads but if they choose not to go that route i believe bumper stickers would work well i mean think about 10 million bumper stickers 10 bucks a piece (make em small too people can discreetly place them on their cars to represent their wikiness......but yea ads would be better than they could hire people and give good people jobs.....but they can't cater to people they have to have their integrity yea i like the bumper stickers........yea I'm a wiki I'm educmacated
