joystiq.com — "Since all four of us can't play Zelda at the same time, we passed the Wii-less hours by poring over the 69 page "systems and settings" manual that came with the Wii (not to be confused with the 105-page, trilingual "system setup" manual that's also included). Here are some of the odd and/or interesting things we noticed." - Joystiq

They've already said that they keep records of your purchases, so if that does happen you call them up and they help you recover them. They also said you could delete the games to make space for others, and then re-download them when needed. What I want to know is if I can use flash drives or external hard drives via usb. They said it would be possible a while ago but I havn't heard any confirmation since.

Probably the only thing on that list that I find terribly annoying is the fact that you can't individually set Wiimote rumble options - it's either all or nothing. Considering that back when I played StarFox 64, some people loved rumble and some people really hated it, I find this lack of customization oddly disturbing. Of course, I can't for the life of me remember if you can set rumble individually in GCN games or not, usually because my Wavebird doesn't support it (*tear*) and everyone else I play multi-player games with now just leaves it as it on. None of these are going to be reasons NOT to get the Wii (assuming you are), but they would be nice to know about whenever you DO get one.

I don't think it is an all or nothing on the rumble features. It states "NOTE: Adjusting the speaker and Rumble settings will affect all Wii remotes currently connected to the Wii console." I would guess "Currently connected" would mean only the ones in use at the time.

Ok that suxx. If someone's Wii brakes or gets stolen, he loses all his online expenses. Way to go Nintendo, that's lame. Just keep the darn data on your servers!?
