wirelesssensorbar.com— Don't have two candles, and hate wires? If you can spare 25 bucks then this isn't to shabby... Third party company so hopefully they can handle digg traffic!

What's the intensity of the IR from a candle versus an LED? Candle gives out nearly 360-degrees of light, whereas the LED only gives out around 120. So, no, you wouldn't necessarily need the same layout of candles as LEDs in the sensor bar.
also does it matter on the type of candles you are using. Its pretty cool alternative any how. Love the idea of playing the wii in the dark with candles burning next to the screen. I just ordered some candles from http://www.candlestoyou.co.uk. Hopefully the bad boys should do the trick.

It is easy to make your own battery powered sensor bar, or better yet A/C plugged sensor bar WITHOUT cutting any wires:http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=9102614#post91026146 volts works perfectly, without the sensor bar overheating. You can use 4 D, C, AA, or AAA batteries for this, or a 9v though it will run hotter.I didn't want to mess with batteries, so I used an A/C to 6v transformer instead. You can get these anywhere.

this is stupid, the wired one sits on the tv where the wire is behind the tv. And it comes with the Wii.

I thought that you could get the Wii without the sensor bar for only 25 bucks. Damn.

12 batteries? You've been playing the Wii nonstop since launch? I think we need an intervention.
