cinemablend.com — Whatever voodoo those happy folks over at Nintendo is working on the casual crowd, it sure seems to be working rather swell. The Wii is not only in high-demand from some hardcore gamers, but it’s actually attracting a lot of attention from the casual crowd.

"Can the argument of "When it comes down to it, the wii is simply a gamecube in a different box with a cool controller" be retired now?"Sure, when people stop referring to PS3/360 owners as "dumb f**ks", you'll get less people stricking back against them

I would define 'hardcore gamer' as someone who is willing to do more for their gaming experience than normal. That is either spend more time, money, or some other resource, for their gaming experience. It's possible for the early adopters of the Wii to be casual gamers, since the price isn't so bad. But I would think though it would be more difficult for a casual gamer to get a hold of one (besides random luck), while the hardcore gamer would be more willing to do more to get a hold of one. Spend more money, wait in long lines, etc.

stupid imageshack, can someone repost the picture on a place that doesn't kill it for being looked 4 times?

Can someone please write a browser extension / CSS hack that won't display any articles on any digg-page with a certain word in the title?

Initialisms are not the same thing as acronyms. SCUBA is an acronym. FTL is an initialism. Acronyms are pronounced, Initialisms are spoken (Eff-Tee-Ell as opposed to Skoobah). That difference is accepted by most, but is not completely canon, so for most purposes they're acronyms. It IS a word though, assh**e. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/initialism
