@ Nobi-WanYou're right. There's no $500 PS3 or anything./ end obvious sarcasmThe $500 PS3 is in NO WAY crippled like the $300 360. The cheaper PS3 has wireless controllers, a hard drive, and free online play.360 with wireless controllers, hard drive, and online play for 1 year (even though you'd probably keep online for many years) is $450.On topic: The wii looks awesome and I'm gunna get one if I get enough skrilla but I'm sick of people being this annoyed with the PS3 price.Oh wait, the PS3 also has a blu-ray player, somewhat motion sensing controllers, and way better graphics than the 360 and the wii.- I know you weren't talking about the 360 at all, but you were still complaining about the price of the PS3 when it's the same as a 360 with 2 years of online.
@ digitalWorldStop crying about the price. If you get the $500 PS3, you get wireless controllers, a hard drive, and free online play. What would that cost on the 360? $400 straight up and $50 bucks EVERY YEAR after that. You keep your system 5 years and the 360's $150 MORE than the PS3. If people actually THINK ABOUT IT, instead of doing whatever Nintendo tells them (even though i think the wii is awesome and it's a great price), you'll realize that the PS3 is a good deal compared to the 360. Maybe not compared to the wii, but it's not that outrageous or anything.- also, digg should add wii to the spell check.
@digitalworld againWho says developers aren't interested in the PS3 as much as they are the Xbox360 and Wii? As far as I can see, by a quick trip over to Gamespot, the PS3 has more games in development than the Xbox360. Infact, the Xbox360 still doesn't have any appealing games on it. The Wii? Only those too young to know what a good game is will appreciate that system. PS2 did good because of good games. You can't deny that. It's also funny that you say Sony doesn't care what I have to say. You think Nintendo does? Why did they go with cartridges for the N64, when it was an obviously bad choice? Why did they shun so many 3rd party developers with their "Dream Team" for the N64, only to go crawling to them later with promises of lower licensing fees? If Nintendo cares, why didn't they use standard DVDs and CDs for the GC? Why did they (again) shun 3rd party development and use a very limited storage medium for their games? Why don't they try to woo game developers over so they can have a larger library? Why did they wow people with a "realistic" Zelda only to come out with the craptastic cartoon Wind Waker that nobody liked? Why didn't they ever release a REAL Mario game for the GameCube like their fans BEGGED for? Why did they release a game like Yoshi's Story for the N64? Why did they take Super Mario Allstars and break it into several seperate games for the GBA and sell them all at full price? Nintendo couldn't careless about what you think or what. All they care about is you being a fanboy and being loyal beyond all reasonable common sense. And blu-ray won't fail. It has more studio support than HD-DVD, scratch resistant discs, and the PS3 to carry it. Stop being a fanboy and start living in reality.
You have seen all my negative comments, but i realized the success of Nintendo Wii doesn't effect the success of Sony or MS. Nintendo is in it's own class, but there can only be one MS or Sony. I will get one once i see a game that's a must buy but so far not seeing it yet. I will also wait until the price drops before getting one.
@beachesandmusic:You are either a troll or seriously delusional. What you are stating as "truth" and nothing more than your opinions. I can offer counter opinions for each statement why Ocarina of Time was one of the greatest games and why other games you trashed are really good games.I can offer counter opinions on why all the sames you seemed to favor (GTA: San Andreas, Ratchet and Clank, FF13, Soul Calibur) are not innovative and suck. Know why? Because they are OPINIONS! So stop trying to pass your opinions off as fact when they're not. I'm entitled to my own opinion. And you are entitled to your own opinion...even if it is wrong.

"Price has been set at $229, somewhat higher than many had hoped"WTF? Here in Europe it would be like $250-$300 then, and that's a reasonable price.

Marked as inaccurate. These are still rumors. Just because IGN pulled a post doesn't mean that what it said was confirmed by Nintendo.

@ spidomanI think the industry turn for that color is what-the-fark-have-you-been-eating diarrhea green.
