forums.gametrailers.com — "The ATI Hollywood can actually produce "insane fillrates" to use Factor 5's words. Hollywood is capable of a pixel fill-rate of almost 972 mega pixels. Having such a high fill-rate capability means that the Wii can perform advanced shaders, advanced texture filtering and advanced multi-layer texture effects better than the Gamecube could."

I'm not one of those people. I've thought about getting a Wii several times; Too much disinformation by wii fanboys, and the fact that you can't get one anywhere has kept me safe so far. This article is an excellent example of my point. 972 mega pixel fill rate ZOMG!

I like my wii as well, but when will fans of the other consoles realize that I don't care that much about the graphics on the wii. RE4 looks good as does Zelda TP. I'm waiting for more. Until then I play my PS3 while my 360 gathers dust trying not to break.

Not next generation? Next generation has absolotely nothing about power or ability - it's the next one along. I'm the next generation to my dad, but I'm not as strong or clever as him... otherwise a good post.

the comparison between the wii and it's competitors, the xbox 360 and ps3, is a lot like the ds to the psp. the psp provides superior graphics, as well as a lot of multimedia stuff which the ds cannot do; however, the ds provides (in my opinion) an excellent game play experience which rivals sony. i own both systems, and except for running emulators, i rarely turn on the ds.such is the case with the wii: though outclassed in terms of specks (and, yes, performance), it excells in delivering an oft-overlooked component to the gaming experience: fun. wii games are fun and engaging, and the controls are smooth and intuitive. i have played all three systems and am keenly aware of what each one is capable of, however i still think that wii is the best because it is the most enjoyable to play!!
