aeropause.com— Recent previews seem to confirm some of my fears, that pin-point accuracy with the remote might not be a reality.

You guys also seem to be forgetting that when the Wii is demo'd to the public or general media, there's usually 60+ Wii's running at once; that's quite the chance for IR interference.
"what infared devices where interfering??? you cant just make things up..."You have 60+ consoles running in a confined area, all spewing infrared light/signals, there will be some level of interference.
Regardless whether its the hardware or people's hands being shaky... its probably too late for the fix unless its solely software since they started production already.. unless they want to redo the already made ones...
Being hypoglycemic, whenever my blood sugar goes below a certain point, I begin to get headaches and shake pretty bad, almost uncontrollably. Factor in the caffine habit, and it's no wonder when I tried the Wii at E3, the controls were almost too precise - you could see my cursor jitter uncontrollably within a given vicinity. I think the senstivity being tweaked down would be a plus.
Oh Please - Look - This hype is getting ridiculous. People need to be realistic. Its about the games not the controller. Its always the games. If a superior controller would be the determining factor in the success or failure of a system than we would all be PC gamers.Anything in this planet more intuitive than the mouse we all use daily? I don't think so.Yet there it is Pc Gaming is not growing anywhere near as fast as consoles. If Nintendo had put more power in that console than I would tell you look out but the Core Gamer is the Core gamer and when the Game videos roll out of Gears of War and Halo 3 or MGS and all the great Playstation franchises where they going to go? Guess. The Wiimote is a great idea that is A. enough to keep Nintendos 20% share in the US And Europe and do some serious damage in Japan to sony. But Sony and M$ are going to carve up the US and European markets for themselves again.

I'm sure any firmware will be downloaded to the wii before installing it, just don't shut it off during the process.

If they finally nail FPS on a console I'll buy a Wii and give up PC gaming.
