I do not know if I am ready to believe maxconsole.....they get money from another company making wii mod chips for advertising.....Also they failed to even read the wiixt page....they say "the specs are way beyond what a DVD drive mod can do and the website is done in the same style as the fake wiisile mod." when the wiixt site CLEARLY states that you have to run wires to other places on the board making it extremely clear this is not just a DVD drive mod.....that said I do not know if its real or not....I will just wait and see...
the Wiinja chip works with any firmware and the newer version is compatible with the D2B chipset...there were Wiis with the D2B chipset long before the Wiinja was announced, so Nintendo didn't do a thing against modchips yet...
I myself think that this project is a fake, however, I will be more than willing to accept that it is real. I think that all we need is some substantial proof of existence. Even if it is not complete they must have something if they are to release in the next 3 months. Why not publish what progress they have on a video and settle this dispute once and for all...
I think that if this project is real, the developers must be pretty talented, and figure some kind of way to work around the firmware. I'm not an expert on this, but as samjayM said, they claim to of hacked the bios. If they can do this, I'm sure they can manipulate the firmware. However, all of the specifications they claim to be delivering seems all to far fetched for even the most talented people. However, as I said before, I will be more than willing to eat my words...
