As a bonus, TrueCrypt has a plausible deniability mechanism. You can have a "decoy" partition, which you put innocent-looking files on, and also your real hidden partition. If anybody asks for the password to your encrypted drive, you give them the password to your decoy partition. There is no way for anybody to tell whether an extra hidden partition exists, since that partition just looks like random data until decrypted (i.e. it is indistinguishable from "free space").
"She ratted out her husband of twenty years to the cops. What a woman!"To be fair, from reading the article, it sounds like he did this before, so not only was he going after underage, he was cheating on her. Doesn't sound like much of a husband.
What on Earth does that have to do with what we're talking about here? We're discussing whether the woman made the right decision in informing the police about her husband's actions, not about Determinism vs. Libertarianism. Also, Psychiatrists don't seek to "justify" what people do, they seek to explain it. If this man was indeed diagnosable with a paraphilia like Exhibitionism or Pedophilia (probably both), then the disclosure of this fact could increase awareness about these disorders and help people to recognize the warnings signs before there are victims. In no way is it a justification of what this man did, it's simply an explanation of the nature of his offense. Someone who is a compulsive Exhibitionist and Pedophile, on the one hand, is quite different from someone who is simply an Antisocial sadist.
That's a whole other can of worms... pictures being illegal to possess or view. It's okay to have pictures and videos of murder, horse porn, c**k fingering, girls s**tting in each other's mouths, but THAT is illegal? Like I said, the "for the children" witch hunt is bulls**t.
