dvice.com— Can you imagine a world before the iPhone? It's difficult, isn't it? But there was a time earlier in the year when instead of reviewing the iPhone, we were making predictions about it.

I can easily imagine it. I've seen two so far, for a total of less than 5 minutes. I have never even touched one. Looks awesome. Can't wait for the 60GB version of the ipod touch. f**k a phone. I have a two year old ev-do phone streaming a data connection over bluetooth. Try that s**t with a Jesus Phone.
But isn't it really just a matter of the iPhone being the new kid on the block? We all like shiny new things. Looking forward, unless the iPhone can improve performance (access to hi-speed networks) it won't keep up with user expectations. You can see how some mobile site are (or are not) preforming now: http://blogs.keynote.com/mobility/
iPhone ruled? It's only available on one service per country. In the US that means at least 60% of the people in the country are largely precluded from buying it. In Europe, it's even worse, it's only on one service that has only like 25% of the market, and even the people on that service are disincented from buying it because it only has EDGE and most of Europe has no EDGE service.Right now, iPhone doesn't rule anything because it's missing a lot of pieces. But Apple will likely work to improve these aspects. So maybe 2008 is the year.
Stupid. A outdated website that shows more fanboyism towards Nokia than I've ever seen in my life. To think somebody is spending this kind of money to host a website and domain to show how much he thinks he hates a device is pitiful at best. Honestly, I think the gentleman who owns this site actually wants an iPhone, or else he wouldn't have done so much 'research.'
The iPhone wasn't meant for you. It wasn't meant for everyone. It was meant for the prosumer (a consumer with certain professional options), a category that Apple helped pioneer. If you're happy with what you have, then you are following the Apple Dream closer than you think. That is to buy something and be satisfied with it. I suppose the microsoft dream would include being able to switch out the parts of the phone and 'upgrade' it every 8 months or so, essentially buying a new phone, but keeping the outer casing and claiming you have options and bragging about how long you've had 'the same phone.' Interesting...On a side note, if you were 'firing up' your DeLorean, wouldn't you be going forward to 1999? That would be coming Back to the Future, wouldn't it?

Well thank you for clearing the misconception.
