how can anyone trust a source with a huge game cube ad at the top of the page? no digg. as for backwards compatibility, if i really wanted to play old ass games i would just emulate them.
haha.on travisskare (0) posts, he gives links to 3 articles, each one focusing on 1 of the 3 systems, on each of those pages, the top header is the for the article [xbox article = xbox article]
Not bad... for ad copy! I know I won't be able to play Zelda on my 360. But, if Nintendo's luck keeps on the same (poor) track that it's on, 5 years from now, I will be able to play Zelda on an XBox (or PS4, or whatever consoles exist). That "article" proceeds from the assumption that the Revolution will be a rousing success and that Nintendo will be able to gain ground vs. both MS and Sony. It's doubtful, at best. On the Lamecube, there were only a dozen truly great games. And no, F-Zero was not one of them. Nor was Luigi Mansion. Or Mario Sunshine (sorry folks, but Mario64 was so much better). If Nintendo couldn't get its own marquee games right on the GC, then who is to say things will change on the Rev.A combination of lackluster iterations of franchise titles helped doom the GC. Nintendo can't afford to have that happen with the Rev. There are some great titles on the GC. Wind Waker remains, in my opinion, one of the greatest games to come out in the last 4 years. Metroid was good, as was SS Bros. Nintendo needs more than just some highlights in a sea of mediocrity. They need a wide selection of great games. It's not all about money. For the casual gamer, it's also about time. With DVD, HDTV, a 360 and a PS3, Nintendo will need to compete for gameplaying time. If it cannot make a gamer choose it over other distractions, the Rev will fail.
No digg. Way too much talk of specific games coming out.How can the reviewer say that the Revolution will be revolutionary when three of his points are that it'll have new versions of old games? Isn't that one of his objections to the XBOX?
Several people have commented that Nintendo consoles are for a younger crowd. I really have to disagree with the idea that focusing on game play is some how more childish than focusing on increasing levels of realistic blood and gore. While it is obvious that many Nintendo properties can be safely enjoyed by small children, I would argue that many of the the headlining games for XBox and Playstation can only be enjoyed by adolescents. I recently purchased a Playstation 2 to see what all the fuss was about. I've been using gamefly to try out all of the most popular games, and the only game I've yet to enjoy is Socom 3.So called "hard-core" gamers seem to play games that bore me after mere minutes (shoot, run, repeat), where as a game like Wind Waker for example held my attention from start to finish.Graphics enhance game play, but graphics alone do nothing for me.

While we are on the topic of comparing things to other things that are not even released yet...Xbox year 2050 edition >>>>> Revolution
