I'm not meaning to seem like I know everything, but I'm almost positive that the wii comes with a setting for the TV types, it can work on wide-screen and "cube" televisions. Also, you have to realize that a majority of people aren't upgrading to those yet due to high costs. When laser television technology comes out, you'll see more of a surge into large scale and output TVs.As for the idea of fan boy bashing, I think that it gets tiring when people take their views and instantly attach them to the collective masses. If you wear a size 9 shoe, that doesn't mean Shaq should want your shoe. I for one am buying a wii, BUT if I could afford the other consoles, I would definitely purchase them as well. For the record, Sony won't fail because they will keep pumping money into it until it works. Just my opinion.

We all know it. Even the fanboys can smell it. Being number one for Sony, it's just over... The End.

Yea, some good points here sure. There are a lot of flaws with the PS3 it seems, both in hardware, cost and marketing but I think the gamers will pull through. I can see GH3/4, FFseries among many other cult following type of games cause it to be a formidable opponent to the Wii and 360http://www.chaosforums.com/video_games/1474-will_ps3_fail.html has some pretty good arguments both for and against it. (mgs4 for the win. :)

@ilyag No the people that bought PS3's were smart, not greedy. They are still turning a small profit, but they definitely made huge gains up until this week. Now the profit doesn't really justify the expense of your time, if you already make a decent living.

@sakurazEven after Sega stopped making Dreamcasts developers were still supporting it. Dreamcast actually did very well, just not well enough to pull Sega out of the red from the Saturn disaster. The reasons generally being attributed to excessive piracy and the PS2's DVD capabilities. That was a huge strategic error on Segas part. Of course it was error number 1 million, so you can't feel too sorry for them. This notion that developers pulled out because they hated it couldn't be further from the truth though. If Sega hit closer to the mark w/ Dreamcast than they ever had before.
