White House officials have known for more than two years that the messages were deleted -- a clear violation of presidential records-preservation statutes...

"..according to the Democratic staff of Congress's Joint Economic Committee. Its report, titled 'The Hidden Costs of the Iraq War,' estimates that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have thus far cost the average U.S. family of four more than $20,000."

It's really quite simple:The punishment for violating presidential records-preservation statutes is far-less than the punishment for what the contents of those emails would incriminate them in. And it's far-easier for them to wiggle out of the presidential records-preservation statutes punishment entirely and perhaps ultimately not have to pay any price whatsoever. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. The White House has weighed the two costs and picked the lesser one. We're never going to see those emails.

Didn't Nixon bug his OWN office ? Bush is bugging everybody's office !Compared to Bush (both of the Don's) Nixon was an excellent president.. A sad thought, cause we all know he wasn't.

Because just a little more obfuscation, a few more scandels and Bush Co will be out of office. Then it will be time to move on I reckon...nothing more to see here.

What can you do? I have enlightened several people who never would have even looked into this before, but because they know me as being intelligent and non-gullible listened and let me show them some things and now have realized tha they have been lied to. The only thing I can think to do in the current environment is enlighten people, one at a time if necessary. If things change, maybe more.
