Paris Hilton deserves special treatment because she is rich. The rich are special. We have power. We live lives that you people only dream about. We give you something to hope for, to get you through your mundane workweeks. Why else would you be slobbering over this story by the thousands?For heaven sake, someone give the cretin who "DUGG" this a dictionary. He should be jailed for crimes against the English language.

I agree. I don't like her, but I think she actually is getting a worse deal in this case for being who she is. If it were you or I, we would not be going to jail.

I am a bit suprised, not by Paris, but by the lack of foresight on the part of the Sherrif. He completely missed the opportunity of a lifetime -- he could have turned this into a massive campaign to address jail overcrowding. Most people who get thrown into county typically serve about 10% of their sentence and then get released due to overcrowding. If she had been exposed to the normal numbers game (instead of grandpappy's numbers checkbook), she probably would have been released after 6 or 7 days. *THEN* he could have said "Look at what I have to do because of overcrowding. I have to treat her the same as everybody else and I release *THEM* after only 10% of their service." Afterwards he just stands in the back of the room and watch the money fly in for him to build more jails, hire more deputies, etc. He's also kind of foolish for not expecting this kind of backlash from an obviously bought justice event.

This is wrong she has 2 duis and both were WLS which is a double wammy, and she was on probation and she left the state with out telling her PO, so basically they can throw her in jail for as long as they want.
