axecollector.com — Yesterday on Digg, I saw an article about removing "AA" batteries from disposable cameras before turning them in. This reminded me of a clever "hack" I used to perform "in the field," when I needed a triple A battery for a flashlight, but only had a 9 volt on hand...

D3koy: not a good idea. Running DC current through living tissue causes electrolysis damage and eventually necrosis. Basically, you're separating the tissue into it's basic chemical elements, thereby destroying it and at the same time poisoning the surrounding tissue.

Of course you saw it in a movie ... it's Hollywood. :)Your "victim" only has something to fear / feel if they're made of metal. Human flesh is far too resistive to create appreciable current flow at 13.8v. Try it yourself, touch the terminals on a car battery ... just slap the terminals with your palms at the same time if you're afraid of being shocked. You'll feel nothing.
