Agreed. I don't know how the USA will get out of this problem, seeing as how the USA does not stop printing money and pretending its way of life is renewable. The phrase "Wake Up!" goes nowhere if the people are blinded against an ever-diminishing dollar. It's not a question of if there will be another Great Depression, but HOW it will happen and WHEN it will happen. By the looks of how things are going, the USA will eventually have to give up its middle class and bend over for the people in charge. It's likely that pharmaceuticals will play a LARGE role in keeping the citizens happy and at ease. Thank god for the internet though - this is one area we must fight to prevent from giving up! ...oh yeah, we also have to deal with that global warming thing and global suffering (s**t, we have a lot on our plate)
@mahoneyThey said that the Iraq war would pay for itself. Wolfowitz, the primary architect of the war said it to Congress. You really don't remember this? You may be right about making money off the toxic assets. I hope that we can at least break even. But there is no way to know because there is no telling what we are actually buying. There is no list of the assets and everything you hear about why these things are failing is coming from people who also don't know whats in the assets.
@momoathewYour logic is flawed. I don't need a car or car insurance in order to continue living. Owning a car is optional. The cost of the insurance is part of owning this non-necessity.Medical care is not. I should not have to belong to a corporation in order to get medical care in this country. That is simply ridiculous.
WE ARE A SERVICE ECONOMY.all companies revolve around financing. i really hope you guys understand this. everything you buy, everything you see, is from a company that gets financing from banks. without any financing, companies can't do crap.do people understand how this freaking economy works
Just so it is clear, I think that we should point out that there is not now and has never been a free market in America. What we have and have had forever, is a procorporate economic system that favors big business over competition and the working class. Call it corporatism or fascism or whatever, but it is not capitalism.

The vast majority of ambulance services charge by a base rate plus mileage and the cost is never given to the patient until after the service is completed. http://www.1800ambulance.net/service.html
