I'm not a "young" Republican myself (well, maybe to some, I hope!), but I'm VERY happy to see energized younger people in the GOP. We can't let the future go to a one-party mindset - all ideas need to be challenged and reworked from fresh perspectives all the time. We need "New Republicans" to shake things up, bring that perspective, and be the foot soldiers we lost in the last elections!
It's a bold effort and I wish him the best but it'll be a long time before I trust Republicans again. There will always be the nagging suspicion that they're just putting a moderate face on a big business, big oil agenda. Luckily southern Republicans keep reminding the rest of the country why they lost.
*OneOfNone* ...and it was not 8 years of GOP rule as you say. "It has been the *DEMOCRATS* that have been in control of the *Senate and House Of Representatives* for the past 2 years and they have done absolutely nothing and Broke Promises to the people they Manipulated. Know what your talking about before you try to pontificate.Where do you think all of these BAIL-OUTS are coming from? Not the GOP!"You have no idea who is in control of anything in this Government due to your Pedant one sided behavior!" I'm Sick of You," Know Nothing Liberals!" "Your a disgrace to the American Race!"Just think these people are allowed to - VOTE!
Sorry davidmesaaz, but he's exactly right. I think the crime bosses from The Dark Knight are a metaphor for the republican party. "They turned to a man they didn't understand". They've let the most extreme factions of their party take control, letting "the clown out of the box" so to speak and it's not the first time it's happened. In the 50's, it was Joseph McCarthy. Now they are rehashing the same propaganda. The republican party and it's leadership are truly dangerous.
Well your nuts as well... If you think that the Dems with their desire to take the entire country of coal energy with out any ill effects...Raise taxes all being the in the pockets of big unions is going to change this country. You have gotta be nuts... If the Bush years failed because of run away spending why do Obama think that he will be any different????

That ought to be the focus of all Americans. It's what the founders wanted.
