edibleapple.com — Though seemingly coming out of left field, Steve Jobs? decision not to speak at the Macworld keynote this January makes a lot of sense. Macworld expectations got out of control and put too much pressure on Apple to deliver. Second, it lets people know that Steve Jobs is not the only person responsible for Apple?s success.

Well, the Internet says Steve Jobs is going to visit his home planet so he can come back and take over the world. And I believe it.http://www.maccomedy.com/steve-jobs-not-speaking-a ...

All dirty politics even in Apple world

It's a conspiracy. A cover up. He can't be there because he's having dinner with the Vulcan Prime Minister that day. Macworld or not, you can't reschedule inter-stellar diplomacy.

apple is so huge that they create their own events at any location. its no wonder they don't want to spend a quarter of a million dollars doing setup and travel for these shows. its when the press stops paying attention to them that they will be more favorable to this idea of trade shows.

A silly, silly list!Expectations at MacWorld have ALWAYS been out of control. That's called "good press." Even when Apple releases a piece of garbage like the AppleTV, everyone eats it up. It it's why new Apple products are often hard to get for all of January. And Steve Jobs firmly believes that Steve Jobs is Apple -- and the press agrees! His personality, and how much the press loves him, had a *lot* to do with him bringing Apple back from the brink. Yes, the iMac is awesome, and the iPod was a sea change, but Jobs approved their designs. The press knows that too, which makes them love him even more.Silly, silly list! (Wait, I already said that!)-Pie
