mises.org — (1) Contrary to myth, Germany was a socialist state, not a capitalist one, and (2) socialism, as understood as an economic system based on government ownership of the means of production, positively requires a totalitarian dictatorship.

Ah,, yes, the hoary old chestnut that simply because the Nazis were monikered the National Socialist party, they were socialists. This has been debunked so many times I'm frankly astonished anyone can find two bone of the skeleton to put together, much less do a definitive autopsy to try to prove such a specious claim. Dugg wayyyy down for both patent absurdity & the moral turpitude required for someone to actually make such a post.

Nazism was Socialism. There can be no doubt. And both ideologies were and Socialism still is lethal and causes tyranny.

Absolute garbage. So you extract similarities to different ideologies and expound your ideas based on that? Ok then Jesus Christ was a Socialist, or Communist if you like, before the idea existed, thus Jesus was a Nazi therefore every follower of Christ is a Nazi, from George Bush to Mother Teresa. The basic premise of the logic in this article is worthless.

Mac, Jesus actually taught freedom and capitalilsm (see parable of the talents, parable of the employer/workers in the field). Jesus taught giving to the poor, not statism. Further, Jesus, being the Revelation of God in Old Testament times too, taught republicanism (see Joshua, Judges) and a low, flat tax rate (search "tithe").Aside from that, Naxism was fascism and fascism was about state-controlled semi-private enterprise, according to "syndicates." It is akin to the "community organization" and union-based "anarcho-syndicalism" of apparently, Saul Alinsky and his disciples, Billy Ayers and......Barack Obama.
