I'm a big supporter of Bungie, but i'm in no way upset that the announcement was pulled. Like seeing a 1 to 2 minute non-gameplay clip for a game that won't be out for well over a year would of made me do backflips.MS stole E3 with not only the games they showed, but more so the Dashboard update and the FF13 bombshell.
Bungie was granted its freedom from the Microsoft shackles after the launch of Halo 3.. Why does MS have the still have the ability to redact this announcement? I guess MS gave Bungie back their freedom but not their Halo's.. Damn.. And yes it has KILLED the excitement.. Now we all know its either Halo 4, a new Halo storyline, or a Re-make of Marathon for the 360..
As above stated, likely Halo wars, which is probably the only Halo game I would be interested in as its an RTS and thus actually freaking different than the last three games.
What a typicle, backhanded remark. They didn't dominate the other presentations with copycat features and rehashes, but hey I guess if they say it enough times, and can get the fanboys to repeat it enough times, then it must be true! And not the fact that they all 3 really blew. Granted, MS makes s**t look good, but I'm for gameplay over graphics. Gimme some meat and less gravy.
"#1 most popular gaming console in America.."If by #1 you mean #2, I guess so - or are we not counting the Wii as a console now it's overtaken the 360 in sales?
I'm guessing they didn't announce it because it's a long way off and there's really no point unless Sony announced some killer app... which they didn't.

Intellectual Property I believe. It's so hard to say "new game" nowadays.
