Get in a cab in China with any taxi driver older than 40 and you can hear all the opinions you want on Mao.In general, most people approve of him because China without him would not be China. The view of most people here is that Mao made mistakes, Mao was flawed, but all things being equal he did more good than harm. China is strong because of Mao. China is China because of Mao.Perhaps you should study history for a little while and then you might understand a little... here is a hint - start by looking up Chiang Kai Shek.

I can tell you that absolutely everything you have written is wrong, with the possible exception of the English item which is so poorly written I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm also not sure what your point is: The official language is Mandarin (putonghua), not English. The country is extremely literate, and, why the hell would the television be in English?! (although there are some English broadcast channels such as CCTV9).
