andrew-turnbull.net— The operating system I currently use on my primary computer is Windows 95 OSR2. Furthermore, not only do I use Windows 95 extensively, but I prefer it to Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, and Vista.

"iTunes runs like total crap on Windows (and I have a decent GPU), but it's a dream on OS X even with an integrated graphics MacBook... yes Apple hates Windows users"If your using Windows XP, then it's your crappy Windows GDI that's letting you down. MS didn't drop that way of doing things for no reason. GDI was horrible and when it hung, screen refresh was a nightmare.
I agree with the prevailing sentiment here. I think this guy really just likes the attention. "I still use Windows 95" must be a pretty good conversation starter. Kind of the same idea as proclaiming loudly that you don't own a TV or announcing you are bisexual at a family reunion.
Well, I could think of a lot of good uses for a 1ghz machine. File server for your home, a machine for basic web browsing for the kids, or a spare in a bedroom/garage.Or a machine for a guy who still runs Windows 3.11.
@iofthestorm:I've been down that path--the endless upgrade cycle--and you realize at some point you value form and functionality over bleeding edge / speed. I have a lot of older systems created from all the leftover parts, and I just don't see a need to upgrade to a newer OS for the sake of upgrading.

Would someone please donate an old Windows XP machine to this poor hobo? The guy's in some serious denial.
