nysun.com — For weeks my boy had been begging for me to please leave him somewhere, anywhere, and let him try to figure out how to get home on his own. So on that sunny Sunday I gave him a subway map, a MetroCard, a $20 bill, and several quarters, just in case he had to make a call.

I once heard this story about a guy being hit by lightening so now I don't go outside when it rains.

FINALLY, an american parent with a f**king brain in their heads. So many of today's kids are growing up to be f**king useless. Cant do anything without mommy and daddy holding their hands.thank god a parent has the brains to bring up an independent (useful, not useless) child in America today. So often parents have their kids under lock and key and don't let them figure out things on their own. That is one thing I love about how I was raised... My mom left me home alone and trusted I would know how to cook my food, do my homework, and stay out of trouble. In my very first day in 4th grade, I screwed up and didnt do my homework until 8pm, then I had to stay up to finish. One day I will remember for the rest of my life: first homework, then play. Lesson learned. Every single day thereafter, I came home and RIGHT after I came home, I did my homework. After which I made my dinner, from scratch, and now I know how to cook (probably the only male in my immediate group of friends that knows how to cook). After that came play time. I know you will completely disagree with me on all points, but hey whatever. As long as you read the article and understand where I am coming from.

Widen the search to include more of bloodninja's stuff.http://bash.org/?search=bloodninja&sort=0&show=25The pirate one is a classic right alongside the "robe and wizard hat" bit.

Did you seriously just call a little boy who was killed by an alligator "stupid"?
blake_mooneyApr 12, 2008
Sorry guys, but I gotta disagree with the majority here - I think this is completely irresponsible and very dangerous. Especially in a big city.
blake_mooneyApr 12, 2008
Yeah, what a stupid irresponsible bitch. She cares more about the f**king phone then her own child. What sickens me most, is all the morons on here agreeing with her. THIS is why you should have to have a license to be a parent.

I gather it's better to be too protective then the other way around...
