But what do you mean? Of course there was no media bias before Fox, don't you know everyone else just calls it down the middle.

lol, and no one would use turbines or solar panels if it weren't for that one week a year of loosely "green" based episodes of NBC shows that they've done for maybe the last, what 3 years? And of course, NBC couldn't be doing that just because it's good for the planet and a responsible thing to do?

drmangrum - the story was about the Texas school board meeting. Yes, democratic members of the board stormed out - but that's NOT what the story was about. Please tell me you can understand the difference.posalblowfish7 - yes it is irony. The anchor said something totally unfair and unbalanced as a part of describing the story as fair and balanced. That's irony. Look it up.

What nonsense. Talk about one-sidedness! One wonders if Raines and these diggers have ever watched MSNBC-- Ed Show, Hardball, Countdown with Keith, Rachel Maddow Show. I don't know which of these fools is worse, the smarmy Rachel or Keith with his puerile "worst person in the world," ofter a Fox commentator. Fox both has commentators on the left and invites lefties on their programs. MSNBC ever do that? No.

Exactly. Pravda, the chief propaganda outlet for Communist Russia, means truth. At least they haven't started murdering journalists in front of their children like Putin seems to enjoy. Once the Teabaggers have their way, democracy really will be a sham in this country. I remember when I was a wee-uns, both of my parents were extremely well-educated people and we were exposed to all kinds of information. A futurist, I can't remember the name, but I'm sure somone here will disabuse me, predicted that America would grow less democratic and Russia more-so. Eventually both systems would be identical. Food for thought, for those of you who like to think, rather than just spout Rush Limbaugh's latest talking points. I had to laugh when he said that he was going to leave the U.S. if health care reform passed. Odds are, he would be moving to a country with a strong public health system : Canada, Britain, France, etc. Or would he prefer to set up shop in a country full of exploited workers with no rights? That's his agenda, isn't it? Maybe Cambodia would fit the bill for his Royal Obesity!

The teabaggers will have to try real hard to compete with the sham that the present administration has made of Democracy, not to mention the shame brought on it by the so-called leader bowing down to the leaders of other countries.

What is unbiased journalism though? It's impossible not to favor one perspective or another because there is simply not enough room to cover everything. There is always some kind of bias by omission. I would much rather see an honest debate between people with distinct points of view (not that we see that anywhere either, I just think that we are searching for the wrong standard) than some kind of magical objective journalism.

I don't care whether someone has an agenda as long as they are intellectually honest. It doesn't bother me that FOX is so transparently right wing, just that they have no conscience about blatantly distorting facts. Maddow has an agenda, but that doesn't mean she doesn't take pains to make a rational argument.

How can an honest journalist take on Fox news? They know it's too difficult to argue with the truth.
