gizmodo.com — The biggest update to the new MacBooks?on the inside anyway?is their graphical muscle, which has been hooked up with some Barry Bonds-level steroids. Apple ditched Intel's crummy integrated graphics and chipset (basically the traffic controller between the processor and everything else) entirely,

It would be my guess that Apple wanted to introduce the current MBP as the first to take advantage of these new NVIDIA chips and just get their new computers out there; showing off their new manufacturing process and that Macs can somewhat compete as a graphical beast. I also think they are addressing the usability issues with the 'log out' method of switching with Snow Leopard and their "Grand Central" technology so as to make it an automatic switch in the future depending on user settings regarding power source or other performance things.I hope I'm right because I would like to buy a MBP soon and not be stuck still having to switch around in Sys Prefs if I have friends with new models that can switch on the fly. That would be irritating :|

It has always been simple on MacBooks. 3 screws. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac/MacBook-Core-Duo/H ...It is also cheaper and you can get an external case and use your old drive as a backup.

Can you run SLI or Crossfire with OpenGL programs? Just trying to figure it out. PC fan, and I know PC's are better when set up properly. I render with a SLI cards. I also use Ubuntu sometimes.
