blogs.static.mentalfloss.com— Have you ever wondered why that bottle of Poland Spring has a ?drink by? date on it when common sense dictates that water doesn?t go bad?

I definitely wouldn't be drinking well water right out of the tap. Whatever your neighbors like to dump (oil, transmission fluid, etc) eventually finds its way down to the aquifer. Just put a Pur tap filter on and the water will taste better and be quite a bit safer.
The "some reason" is probably, as the article states, because the plastics used in drinking containers are slightly porous. Your gas leaks out.

Who agrees that Poland Springs water is tap water from the CEO's backyard hose?

The lowly serfs around here sure don't have any fertility problems that I'm aware of.

I've seen "Thirst Quencher!" written on the front of an Aquafina bottle. Wrap your head... around that.
