----And those people who frequent both sides should go away with the "this was on Reddit yesterday", nobody here cares. If I haven't seen it, its news to me.----I understand your point here but as someone who frequents news sites and stays up on information, if I visit reddit then there is almost no point in me coming to digg since the information is generally a day + old. That coupled with the fact that there seems to be an abundance of super users who have people digg their stories up is annoying to me. At least with on reddit if I submit something I have a good shot of getting my article to the front page. The other fact why I've been slowly moving over to reddit is the discussion reddits. Its much more entertaining to read through once I've read all the articles I'm interested in. Its more 'community' based than digg is.

Your 3rd point was also a problem with Fark.... errr.. TotalFark anyway. Besides that, Fark has (or at least *had*) terrible and vindictive moderators, and a general atmosphere of being overrun by half-braindead frat boys. I've been to Reddit before, but I never really wanted to stay. Digg has its problems, but it's an alright place and it serves its purpose fairly well for the most part.

Too bad the average Reddit user will never use it.

To all the people defending Reddit: Why the f**k are you on Digg if Reddit is better?

I like Reddit's fresher content but I rarely venture into Reddit's comment section. The way the comments are set up is hard to follow, especially when a thread goes off tangent and the users talk about something completely different. The humor there is also a little on the dry side.

Yeah, Digg is a wasteland now. It's DEAD and there's no saving it, nothing but spammers and paid links.
Reddit is where it's at.
